WolfShack Films is a British independent production company co-founded in 2025 by award-winning producer/director Ian Sciacaluga and producer/screenwriter Jonathan Williamson. WolfShack’s founding duo bring with them an impressive track record spanning Netflix, Prime Video, ITV, Channel 4, and BBC Radio 4. WolfShack Films launched with their debut feature HIDE onto the festival circuit, immediately winning awards including: Official Selection at the Anchorage and Chameleon Film Festivals; Winner Best Film & Best Director at The London Women Film Festival 2026 amongst other accolades.
WolfShack are currently working with Lulo Films (Colombia) on an original feature RENOVATORS — a paranormal horror about a crew of ne'er-do-well British builders renovating a hotel deep in the Colombian jungle. Also in the early stages of pre-production is an indie feature STARSEED, a lo-fi Sci-fi, about a woman’s search for her missing husband set against the industrial backdrop of the Thames estuary in Essex.
Ian’s previous work as a producer director for commercials and TV documentaries has seen him travel across the world engaging and working with people of diverse races and cultures. Being a Gibraltarian and Spanish speaker has benefitted Ian’s work in Spain and across South and central America. Ian works across long and short form film, his latest short films, IMBROGLIO, a noir thriller filmed in Italy and the UK, won multiple film festival awards from Zurich to New York and Ipanema. And WE DANCE FOR LIFE – an expressionistic dance film that illustrates the fragile bond between humans and cancer, commissioned by The Mayor of London, has won numerous awards across multiple festivals including Ipanema Film Festival, Star of Venice 2024, Barcelona Indie awards, Aguri Film festival, Prague Music Video Awards amongst others.
Jonathan works as a freelance writer for audio plays and feature films. He is working with SnackBytes/The Jungle Room on a DocuDrama feature MY SECRET MURDERS, based on incredible true story of how journalist Fred Harrison secretly recorded his conversations with reviled child murderer Ian Brady in his prison cell, and through his persistence forced the police to reopen closed murder cases, leading to the discovery of the body of one of Brady’s child victims. Past projects have included THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD, for BBC Radio 4 starring Jon Culshaw as Alan Whicker on his innovative and wild encounters on his globetrotting TV show. Previous audio play THE BOLEYN BROTHERS won (Gold) Best Drama Podcast at the prestigious New York Festivals International Radio Program Awards. Jonathan has mainly focused on adaptations, historical fiction creating fictional story against a backdrop of historical facts.
Recently Finlay Williamson (no relation) joined the team. Young and dynamic Finlay is an NFTS Academy alum and London Director Awards finalist, and he recently produced the upcoming UK-Romania feature Cookie, starring Emmy winner Lexi Ainsworth. We are working on a number of projects with Finlay and we absolutely expect great things from our collaborations with him.
